How to set the location for the Troverlo Static Tag Reader

How to set the location for the Troverlo Static Tag Reader in the Troverlo Portal

Below are instructions for manually configuring the location for a newly installed Troverlo Static Tag Reader. Static readers are meant to be placed in locations that need consistent coverage like material yards, buildings, and storage spaces. If the static reader is ever moved, the location needs to be updated in the Troverlo Web Portal so tags observed are reported in the correct location.

1. Create an Asset for the Troverlo Static Tag Reader

Prior to installing the reader, make sure to write down the Tag ID (MAC address) for the reader as shown on sticker on the backside of the reader. With the Tag ID you can create the Asset using the Troverlo App or Web Portal.

Once the reader is installed, capture the latitude and longitude of the Troverlo Static Tag Reader antenna's location using Google Maps on your mobile phone.

4. Manually configure the location of the Troverlo Static Tag Reader

Go to Asset Management > Reader Config on the left-hand menu in the Troverlo Web Portal (find.troverlo.com) to manually configure the location. Click "Create new reader config".
