What is an Asset Group?

Asset Groups are "tags" or "labels" in the Troverlo portal and mobile app to simplify searches for Assets. 

Where can I create an Asset Group?

Asset Groups can be created in the Troverlo portal, or defined in the Autonomo install.

How to find existing or create Asset Groups in the Portal?

Navigate to Asset Management -> Asset Groups

How do I create Asset Groups in Autonomo?

Define Asset Group(s) in the Autonomo install and if they do not exist, they will be created and assigned to the Asset through Auto-provisioning.

How do I find Assets labeled with an Asset Group?

Any page in the Troverlo Portal that has a column listing Asset Groups, you can select the Asset Group filter or put the Asset Group name in the search or sort the column by clicking on it.

Can I have more than one Asset Group on an Asset?

Yes, have zero or as many as 5o to make finding the Asset easier.

Are Asset Groups unique to my company?

Yes, Asset groups are unique to each company.

Can I add an Asset Group to multiple Assets at the same time?

Yes, use the Bulk Asset functions.

Steps

  1. Create Asset Group if it doesn't exist
  2. Select Assets desired to be in a Asset Group - select box on left in "Asset Management -> All Assets page"
  3. Select Bulk functions on the upper left (under username and Export and Create buttons)
  4. Select "Add to Company Asset Groups"
  5. Select the Asset Groups desired
  6. Click "Add to Company Asset Groups"

How do I remove an Asset Group from an Asset?

Steps

  1. Navigate to Asset Management -> All Assets
  2. Find your Asset
  3. Click on pencil to edit the Asset
  4. Click on "x" for the Asset Group (s) you want to remove
  5. Click on "Update"

How do I archive an Asset Group so it can not longer be used??

Steps

  1. Navigate to Asset Management -> Assets Group
  2. Click on action and then archive
  3. This will change the state from Active to Archived
  4. This Asset group can no long be seen to select, but it can be still be used to find Assets that were previously associated with that Asset Group
